Join an active gaming Discord server and post a specific LFG message with your game, mode, platform, region, rank and when you want to play. Then play together in voice chat.
Write an LFG post people reply to
LFG means "looking for group". The more specific your post, the more replies you get. Include:
- The game and the mode
- Your platform and region
- Your rank or level and your role, if the game has them
- When you want to play
- Whether you want to sweat or just have fun
- Mic or no mic
How to find people to play games with on Discord
Active gaming Discord servers are the best place. You post once, everyone online sees it, and then you play together in voice chat. Pick roles for your games so you get pinged when someone's looking for players.
On PS5 and Xbox
Consoles have their own party and group features, but you'll meet more people through Discord. Join a server from your phone, find people there, then use Discord voice on your console or the console's own party chat.
Crossplay and IDs
Check whether the game has crossplay, then share the right ID: a Riot ID, Epic username, Activision ID, EA ID, Steam name, PSN, Xbox gamertag or Nintendo friend code.
Mind the time zones
Say your time zone or region in your post. Evenings are busiest, and a group that can play at the same times lasts much longer.
Start casual, keep the good ones
Play a few casual games before jumping into ranked together. When a session goes well, add each other, make a group chat and invite them next time. That's how a random lobby becomes a regular squad.
Stay safe
Never share your account or password, and be careful with anyone offering paid boosting or asking for money. Real teammates just want to play.
