Open Discover at the bottom of your server list and pick Quests (on mobile, tap your avatar, then Quests). Accept a Quest, play the game or watch the video for as long as it asks, then press Claim Reward. Orbs go to your balance to spend in the Shop.
What are Discord Quests?
Quests are short, time-limited tasks from game publishers and brands. You play a game, stream it, or watch a video for a set amount of time, and Discord gives you a reward. Each Quest has a date to accept it by and a date to finish it by, and new ones show up regularly.
Rewards can be Orbs, avatar decorations, profile effects, in-game items for the game in the Quest, or Nitro credit.
Where to find Quests
- On PC: click Discover (the compass) at the bottom of your server list and open the Quests tab. When you're eligible for one, a Quest bar can also pop up in the bottom left of the app.
- On mobile: tap your avatar, then Quests, or tap the Quest bar when it appears.
How to complete a Quest
- Press Accept Quest (or Start Video Quest for a video).
- Play Quests: play the game for the time shown, often around 15 minutes, with the Discord desktop app open and logged in so it can see you playing.
- Stream Quests: stream the game in a voice channel from the desktop app with at least one person watching.
- Video Quests: watch the video to the end. Progress saves if you leave and come back.
- Press Claim Reward on the Quest bar or in the Quests tab.
What are Discord Orbs?
Orbs are a free currency you earn from Quests. You can't buy them with money, and they don't expire, so you can save up for something bigger. Nitro subscribers get a 1.2x boost on Orb rewards from qualifying Quests.
What can you buy with Orbs?
- Avatar decorations and profile effects
- Nameplates and other profile items
- An Orb profile badge
- Nitro credit
- Many items from the main Shop collections
Gifts, partner-branded items and Nitro or Server Boost subscriptions can't be bought with Orbs. Each item in the Shop shows whether you can claim it with Orbs.
Discord Quest not working or not tracking?
- For Play Quests, keep the Discord desktop app open and logged in on the same account while you play. Playing only on your phone or console usually won't count.
- Make sure Discord can detect the game. Check that activity sharing is turned on in your Activity Privacy settings.
- Update Discord and restart it if progress is stuck.
- Check the Quest hasn't expired, and that it's available in your region.
Avoid Quest auto-completers
Scripts and tools that claim to finish Quests without playing break Discord's rules and can get your whole account actioned, not just the reward. Doing the Quest properly takes a few minutes.
