Join a server that has a tag you like, then open User Settings, go to Profiles and pick it under Server Tag. It shows next to your name everywhere on Discord. Wearing a tag is free, and you can switch whenever you want.
What a server tag is
Servers can make a tag with up to four characters and a small badge. Members who choose to wear it get it next to their name in chats, in every server and in DMs. It's a way to show where you hang out, and the cute ones are a big part of why people join.
How to find servers with cute tags
- Look at names in chat. When you see a tag you like on someone, ask them which server it's from.
- Search server lists like Disboard and Discadia for "tag" or "server tag". Many servers mention their tag in the description.
- Check the badge as well as the letters. Hearts, stars, animals and pixel icons are the ones people go for.
