Quick answer
Search server lists like Disboard for the anime tag, then pick a server with an active chat, spoiler rules and voice chat in the evenings. Servers where people also play anime games give you more to do together.
What a good anime server has
- Channels for what's airing, so you can talk about this season's episodes
- Spoiler rules that people actually follow, plus Discord's spoiler tags
- Recommendations for when you finish a show and don't know what's next
- Memes, fan art and clips
- Voice chat and watch parties where people hang out
Where to find anime Discord servers
- Server lists like Disboard, Discadia and top.gg, filtered by the anime tag
- Official servers for big shows and anime games, which are huge but busy
- Smaller community servers, where it's easier to get to know people

Red flags
- Thousands of members but nobody online
- No rules or no active mods
- Spoilers everywhere with no spoiler channels
Anime games to play with other fans
A lot of anime fans also play anime-style games, which gives you something to do together beyond talking:
- Genshin Impact, plus Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves
- Roblox anime games like Blox Fruits, Anime Vanguards, Blue Lock: Rivals and Anime Card Clash
Watch anime together
Watch parties are one of the best ways to bond over a show. Here's how to watch things together on Discord without a black screen.
